Santarelli provides a full range of services for the protection of Industrial Designs.
A first step is to establish with each client a protection strategy, with or without involving design registration. This in particular involves studying the nature of the creation, the aspects susceptible of being protected, choosing the means for protection through registration, and the type of applications in the countries concerned.
Adaptive Protection of Design
Applications may be made in the various countries, via different organizations depending on the geographical region concerned:
- National protection: application to the national offices (French and foreign),
- Community protection: application to the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM),
- International protection: application to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Santarelli's attorneys liaise with clients to advise them of the progress through examination of their applications, and advise them of the available options, until possible grant.

To act against counterfeiting, customs surveillance can be set up in appropriate cases.
