Biography

Holder of a postgraduate degree (DESS) in Intellectual Property from Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II), Stéphane Meunier began his career in the pharmaceutical industry with the AVENTIS Group. In 2003, he joined one of the founding entities of the Santarelli Group as a French Trademark and Design Attorney. In 2013, he took charge of the Trademarks and Designs department of the Bordeaux office and became a Partner in 2014.

His areas of expertise cover all aspects of protecting and defending trademarks, designs, domain names, across all industries, both in France and internationally. He assists clients in developing and implementing global intellectual property strategies and advises them on optimizing and leveraging their IP portfolios. He is also actively involved in the day-to-day management of assets: brand creation advice, clearance searches, filings, prosecution, responses to administrative objections, renewals, recordals, trademark watching, etc. His practice further extends to negotiation and drafting of agreements and contracts, as well as pre-litigation and litigation: claims, cease-and-desist letters, on-site and online investigations, seizures for counterfeiting, oppositions, infringement actions, unfair competition, and more.

Committed to the development and defense of intellectual property, Stéphane is an active member of several recognized professional associations, including INTA and APRAM. Beyond his professional activities, he has a strong interest in the arts (music, cinema, painting), as well as in tennis, gardening, and travel, which fuel his curiosity and openness to the world.
