Biography

After beginning his career in academic research in the USA and the UK, Pierre Berbinau has worked in several major intellectual property firms in Paris since 2005. He joined Santarelli at the end of 2023. He has experience in drafting and prosecuting patents before the INPI, the EPO, and internationally (USA, China, Japan). He specializes in general mechanics, aeronautics, composite materials, and materials science.

Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese, he has carried out numerous missions in China, where he has spoken at conferences and trade fairs on European patent law. From 2020 to 2024, he co-chaired the International Relations Committee of the CNCPI, during which time he organized and undertook missions in Asia and the Middle East, and welcomed foreign delegations to France.

He also has, and continues to develop, expertise in the financial valuation of patent portfolios.
