Biography

Nelly Olas advises a diverse clientele, notably in the luxury, EdTech, and entertainment sectors, guiding them in the management of their intellectual property portfolios and all related procedures.

She has developed strong legal expertise in designing protection and defense strategies for her clients’ rights (primarily trademarks, designs, and domain names), gained in a demanding international environment. Her daily practice covers both the administrative and legal aspects of portfolio management, including dispute resolution, anti-counterfeiting programs, and the coordination of international portfolios in collaboration with a wide network of foreign associates.

An experienced lawyer, Nelly joined Santarelli in 2015 after an initial career as an attorney, notably with a major Anglo-Saxon law firm. She holds a Master’s degree in European Law and a postgraduate degree (DEA) in Literary, Artistic, and Industrial Property Law—both with honors from Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas—as well as an LL.M. in Intellectual Property from Cardozo School of Law in New York.

Before becoming an Intellectual Property Attorney, she was admitted to the Paris and New York State Bars. Nelly stands out for her pragmatic approach, combining rigor, responsiveness, and strategic insight to provide tailor-made solutions aligned with her clients’ commercial and sector-specific challenges. Thanks to her cross-disciplinary training and experience, she is particularly at ease in multicultural and multi-jurisdictional environments.
