Biography

Jérôme Belledent assists major research organizations and technology companies in protecting and leveraging their inventions, in France and abroad. He advises his clients on patent filings and represents them before the INPI and the EPO. With 20 years of experience as a research engineer, he draws on his expertise to quickly grasp the most complex aspects of inventions. Accustomed to working closely with research teams, he understands and values the efforts that have led to their results.

He also recognizes the inventive value of the work and translates it into tailored protection strategies. Thanks to his industrial experience, he has a pragmatic understanding of the strategic issues related to his clients’ innovation, particularly in terms of leveraging intangible assets, securing R&D investments, competitive positioning, and freedom-to-operate.

He is a graduate engineer of Institut d’Optique Graduate School (Sup’Optique) and CEIPI, and is registered as a French Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney before the European Patent Office.
