Biography

Partner in Trademarks and Designs at Santarelli since 2017, Hélène Lecornu has more than thirty years of experience in intellectual property. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Law from Université Lyon II, a postgraduate degree (DESS) in Intellectual Property from Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas, and is a French and European Trademark and Design Attorney. She first worked as an in-house IP lawyer in the agri-food sector, then as a Trademark and Design Attorney in leading Parisian IP firms, before co-founding her own practice. Hélène later returned to industry: in France, as Director of Legal Operations for one of the largest groups in the alcoholic beverages sector (also heavily involved in philanthropy), and abroad, for a Spanish luxury group. She joined Santarelli in 2014, notably to manage the portfolio of a leading luxury house.

Thanks to her dual experience as both in-house counsel and private practice attorney, Hélène has developed a pragmatic approach and over the years has built strong skills and a particular affinity for contract negotiation and drafting.

Hélène is a member of the CNCPI (French Association of Patent and Trademark Attorneys) and APRAM (Association of Trademark and Design Law Practitioners). She has also represented France on the Council of ECTA (European Communities Trademark Association) and was a member of its GI Committee.

Throughout her career, Hélène has had the opportunity and privilege of advising and representing a wide variety of clients—international groups, public institutions, individuals, and associations—of all sizes and from all countries, across diverse sectors: wine, perfumes, hospitality, restaurants, museums, press, music, events, jewelry, art, fashion, retail, yachting, sports, soft drinks, household appliances, IT, pharmaceuticals, animal health, leisure, and more.
