Biography

Fabien Bas is a partner, industrial property attorney, EPO-accredited representative, and European patent litigator before the Unified Patent Court. He holds a degree in industrial engineering from the École des Hautes Études Industrielles. He also holds a specialized master’s degree, a university diploma in patent litigation in Europe, and a master’s degree in law, economics, and management, with a specialization in intellectual property law (University of Strasbourg).

Fabien began his career in 2006 as a patent engineer for an automotive equipment manufacturer, working primarily on propulsion and visibility systems in the fields of mechanics, electrical engineering, electronics, and batteries.

Fabien joined Santarelli in 2009 and is a partner advising French SMEs with international reach and large French and foreign groups on both the acquisition and exploitation of rights. He works mainly in the fields of mechanics, electricity, electronics, luxury goods, medical devices, and IT.                                          

Beyond the exciting assignments he has been given in the course of his work, Fabien has always kept abreast of current developments and has devoted time to this area for several years through his activities on several committees of the French National Association of Industrial Property Attorneys (CNCI) and, more recently, as an elected member of the Association’s Executive Committee, whose term of office runs until the end of 2027.
