Biography

Alexandre Astrié has been helping a variety of clients — from innovative start-ups to established multinationals — define and implement their industrial property strategy for several years. For about four years, Alexandre has worked at the Santarelli firm. He specializes in drafting, filing, and defending invention patents at the French, European, and international levels.

He recently obtained the title of Mandatory Authorized by the European Patent Office (EPO), demonstrating his commitment to the profession. Before joining the firm, Alexandre gained industrial experience at Total, where he confronted the intellectual property strategy with the realities of innovation in business, developing a strategic vision of patents as tools for the valuation and security of R&D investments. He works with start-ups in the launch or fundraising phase (defining protection strategies, freedom to operate, and IP valuation) and with large industrial groups (analyzing portfolios, European oppositions, and international procedure tracking).

He also regularly works with individuals or independent inventors, providing them with rigorous and pedagogical guidance. His approach is characterized by a strong commitment to strategic advice, competitive intelligence, and proactive management of the examination process in close collaboration with the business objectives of clients.
