Biography
After completing his PhD, Adrien Bétrancourt began his career as an engineer within an industrial start-up, a spin-off from a public research laboratory. He then joined a law firm in Rennes, where he notably enhanced his skills in patents and innovation financing, before ultimately devoting himself to the profession of industrial property attorney. In 2015, he joined Ipside, which became Santarelli in 2025.
With experience in numerical simulation software and a strong interest in the digital field (software, artificial intelligence, blockchain), Adrien has developed solid expertise in this area, particularly in the patentability of software inventions. He notably assessed third-party software to analyze potential infringement of one of his client’s patents.
He provides daily support to start-ups and SMEs in their intellectual property strategy, across a wide range of technical fields such as mechanics, physics, energy, software, and artificial intelligence, to name just a few.
Adrien also identifies and advises on funding schemes for IP for clients who may need them. In addition to his role as counsel and European patent attorney, Adrien is responsible for Santarelli’s innovative projects.
In 2024, Adrien was elected to the Board of Directors of Neoloji, the Grand Poitiers technology hub. After completing his PhD, Adrien Bétrancourt began his career as an engineer within an industrial start-up, a spin-off from a public research laboratory.
